Sleep.

We all know how important getting enough of it is. Many people turn a fan on at bedtime in hope of a better night's sleep. While fan noise can be soothing and drown out additional environmental sound, the air movement isn't so nice. These fans are often pointed toward the wall, which is inefficient and wastes a huge amount of energy. And while white noise machines do exist, they leave much to be desired when it comes to both function AND looks. 

SNOOZ is an elegantly designed acoustic noise machine that turns your bedroom into a haven for sleep and compliments your modern aesthetic. With a real fan inside, SNOOZ helps you fall asleep to the natural soothing sound of moving air without actually blowing cold air on you. Because the best technology should blend into your home and lifestyle, not stand out, Chicago startup SNOOZ asked us to take a more modern approach to sleep.

In order to create the visual identity for a brand centered around sound, we set out to find a way to visualize peaceful white noise. The SNOOZ brand experience was developed with a perfect night's sleep in mind.  

In creating the logo, we used known elements that evoke sleep. The moon is an iconic symbol for bedtime, so we worked with the double OO's in SNOOZ as planets to build a crescent moon into the brand name. We were inspired by the ethereal quality of the northern lights as a way to visually show the impact white noise can have on your sleep environment.
